MAY Totals

Here is the summary for May and compared to the first 4 months of the year:

All-in-all a solid training month with some nice momentum.

Swimming was down again in May--this was primarily due to our transitioning to the Beach and losing a number of days as we went back and forth a few times and a run of pretty bad weather which kept me out of the open water.  That said, I have now started by summer OWS build (it's a bit on the cold side--last couple of swims around 60 degrees) and would expect to clock above 30k/month as we progress through the summer.

Biking was solid and with the transition to mostly outside (and longer) riding I can began to feel my bike fitness tick upwards again.  It's great to be riding my TT bike again and I can feel my comfort in aero improving...

Running was the major progress point in May.  Granted, I'm still not doing all that much of it but I am now progressing and on the 31st I ran a pretty solid 8-miler with my youngest son Alex.

Time-wise, it was right down the middle of the fairway...I would anticipate being between 80 and 110 hours/month out through September.

Anders is coming out this weekend and we'll share a mini-taper together before my first race of the season on 6/13: Eagleman70.3.
