OUCH!!!!!

70 degrees yesterday.  Went out for a long ride--loving life.  Decided to cut ride short to be able to get a long run in and a 4000 yard swim.  a lot in one day but I just had 3 days of vacation.  About ten minutes from home it started to rain.  On the last turn, about 200 yards from home, at about 20 mph I went down on the slick pavement.  The good news is I just skidded ala Jan Urlich in 2003.  The Cyfac was safe and I just had a big contusion on my hip and no damage to my surgically repaired shoulder.

Today out for an 8.5 mile run I went down when i tripped over a large branch---damn, I must be an old man!

Sorry to hear about your misfortune and hope that these things don't come in threes. Glad to hear the bike and your shoulder survived the fall.

I too slipped on the kerb when doing hill repeats the other day but luckily just kept my footing. I am going to try blaming it on new shoes rather than age but it could be that I am just clumsy.
